3 Jacks Power Pigs Past Indians

Carlos Carrasco won his fourth game of the season, as the IronPigs took the series finale from the Indianapolis Indians 6-1 on Friday night. Even after a rain delay of over an hour, Carrasco came out ready to pitch. He gave up just the one run in six and a third innings, while striking out seven.

Rich Thompson lead off with a home run for the 'Pigs, and it was a sign of things to come. Later in the inning, third baseman Terry Tiffee launched his first homer for the IronPigs with a man on. Then in the fifth inning, Andy Tracy added another two run bomb, his 14th of the year.

The IronPigs have won 13 of their last 16 and are now in fourth place in the IL North Division, 7 games behind the SWB Yankees. They will now begin a four game series with the Norfolk Tides on Saturday night as the homestand continues.
