After reaching the .500 mark for the first time in team history, the IronPigs were not able to achieve a winning record on Monday. They fell to the Norfolk Tides by a score of 6-1.
Gustavo Chacin loaded the bases with two outs in the 5th inning, then an error by 3B Terry Tiffee on a hard hit grounder opened the door for a grand slam by Norfolk's Melvin Dorta. The Tides scored 5 unearned runs in the inning.
The series continues on Tuesday at Coca-Cola Park.
